When you’re this dedicated to quality, you need to focus on the quality of your materials, and we do so obsessively. We source our metals, wood, glass, cables and other materials from reliable manufacturers and distributors who have proven they can deliver the quality we need. We select from stock at Feeny, Cable Rail Direct, Golden State Lumber and more.

Materials We Prefer to Use
Cables
With our years of experience, we have found that type 316 marine-grade stainless steel cable in 1/8 inch provides the quality that we need to keep our railings from ever sagging, bending, or warping. While these cables are thin enough that the railing is easy to see through, they also provide exceptional levels of strength and durability.
Some commercial applications where a railing might need to support a crowd may require a thicker diameter cable for additional strength. It might also require thicker posts, which are a better visual match for these thicker cables.
Usually, we choose CableRail® from Feeny, Inc., but some applications may call for other cables.
Posts
The post type of a cable railing system truly defines its look. To accommodate many styles, we offer a wide range of post types and can advise you as to which are strong enough to work with the specific cable tension your design calls for.
Most of our customers prefer stainless steel posts. We offer these in a range of colors and finishes and have an eye for matching these options with the specific aesthetic of your space. Metal is also a great option if you want to focus on the view beyond your railing, as they may be as thin as 2 inches square. We prefer to offer our customers who want metal posts Gatorshield® by U.S. Wholesale Pipe and Tube.
We also offer wood posts from a variety of species and with a variety of finishes. We can make wood look modern, or keep that rustic look you may prefer.
Fittings
We use swaged fittings, swageless fittings and surface-mount fittings depending on the specific system. However, we prefer using swageless fittings from Feeny, Inc. which allow us to make the finished railing look smoother and more sophisticated. At other times we may need to use surface-mount fittings, such as when a railing post is attached to a house or another structure. Swaged fittings are ideal for railings which change direction. In this case we can use fewer fittings, saving money and installation time.
