Our Types of Railings
We only offer two main types of railings: steel railings and stainless steel railings. Either can have decorative wood components included, from decorative post caps and top hand rails to a baluster. However, we do not install common but low-quality railing options such as aluminum railings, glass railings, all-wood railings or cable railings with inferior materials such as vinyl cables, galvanized steel cables or powder-coated cables. These simply do not offer the features and longevity that our customers are looking for. For example, the infill on a glass railing creates light effects that can make your balcony or rooftop frustrating to sit at. A powder-coated cable will be weakened as it spends more time in direct sunlight. A steel railing constructed with even one aluminum bracket is more likely to corrode and sag. We don’t offer railing systems that don’t meet our high standards.
Here’s what you need to know about the systems we do offer and what makes the exceptional.
Not all metal railings are made to the same degree of quality. We offer all-steel railings that have only steel fasteners. This means they offer better longevity and performance, especially in humid environments like on balconies near the ocean or on a main stair near a kitchen. Steel railings are sleek and available in a wide variety of finishes and colors to work with your property’s aesthetic. We can offer custom welded components and smart details like mounting your roof railing to the fascia to give your rooftop a bit more square footage.
Stainless Steel Railing
We prefer to make our stainless steel railings with marine grade cables which can withstand environments that an aluminum railing just couldn’t, including exposure to salt spray or heavy weights on commercial properties. We can make stainless steel railings as simple handrails or complex, multi-tier deck railings systems and everything in between. When you need a railing to be compliant with stringent commercial building code, these railings are the right choice. We offer them in a range of looks, with optional wood for the top and bottom, so you get the aesthetic you need for your property.
